MIST SUPPRESSION

VALUE OFFERINGS:

  • SEP-E range of Acid Mist Suppression products is used to effectively

    reduce the surface tension of the electrolyte. This reduces the force with

    which the bubbles burst, as well as creating a thin layer of foam on the

    surface of the electrolyte, allowing it to drain back into the liquid
    medium, thus reducing the formation of acid mist.



DESCRIPTION:

During the copper electrowinning process, oxygen is released at the anodes

forming bubbles, which burst in the form of micro-droplets, releasing acid

mist into the environment. This fine mist creates a corrosive environment

that is hazardous to both personnel and plant equipment.
